Penlee House Gallery & Museum Penlee House, Penzance, is the only Cornish public gallery specialising in the Newlyn School artists (c.1880 - c.1940) including Stanhope and Elizabeth Forbes, Walter Langley, Harold Harvey and Laura Knight. Set in an elegant Victorian house and park, Penlee House also covers West Cornwall's archaeology and social history, and offers an excellent café and shop.

Minack Theatre (9 mi)

The Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, is a must see venue offering a full program of events from May to September. A spectacular and unique theatre set in the cliff top southern coastline of west cornwall, you don't even have to enjoy theatre to appreciate its greatness! St. Michael's Mount (5 mi)

Marazion's crowning glory is the spectacular St. Michael's Mount; a magnificent landmark lying a few hundred metres offshore and linked to the mainland at low tide by a cobbled causeway. The Mount was a Benedictine Priory and a fortified stronghold in its time, and has been home to the St. Aubyn family since 1660. Today St. Michael's Mount is in the care of the National Trust the castle and gardens are open to the public on a seasonal basis. There is a gift shop, cafe and restaurant.

Trengwainton Garden (3 mi)

With plants from around the globe scattered throughout this ten-hectare (25 acre) garden, there is something to inspire around every corner. Champion magnolias and vibrant rhodedendrons make way for lush banana plants and soaring echiums. Unusually, the restored walled kitchen garden was built to the dimensions of Noah's Ark, and is used to demonstrate contemporary varieties of fruit and vegetables.

Geevor Tin Min (8 mi)

Set in 67 acres on the magnificent North Atlantic Coast, Geevor is one of the largest preserved mine sites in the country. Geevor's outstanding collections and listed buildings tell the story of Cornwall's Industrial mining past making it the Western Gateway to the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.
